RESPONSIBILITY AT AENEIS

Aeneis’ collections are drawn and developed by the founder Lisa Lubrini in the Parisian-based studio/apartment and manufactured by small companies based in Como, Italy.
Known as the “city of silk”, Como began silk production in the fifteenth century using raw material from the Far East and to this day Como is renowned for its excellent quality in silk manufacturing.
Growing up in Castel San Pietro, in the south of Switzerland, 15 minutes away from Como, Lisa wanted to create a responsable project, connected with the territory and with the artisans from the region. Aeneis thrives for a “Buy less buy well” model, with a commitment to Italian manufacturing, supporting small, local, traditional industries each piece is developed with a timeless yet unique perspective, designed to last and made to be lived in.

Aeneis chooses to print in digital because compared to conventional printing, digital printing is a far more sustainable option since it uses less energy, produces less waste, and has a smaller carbon footprint overall. Digitally printed silk reduces the consumption of water and the discharge of noxious effluents. Using low volumes of liquid dispersions of Pigment Colours, therefor offering a positive environmental impact.
Aenesis works with natural fabrics only; the scarves, silk bandeau and scrunchies are 100% silk-twill, a natural fibre that will eventually biodegrade back to the earth while the clutches are 100% leather. The gift-boxes are made from recicled paper and are FSC certified also made in Italy.

 ETHICS

Although Aeneis is currently a very small team, it believes in treating people in an ethical and fair way.
As Aenesis continues to grow its team, we strive to have an inclusive team. With diverse points of view, we believe we create a stronger product and company. Aeneis believes in treating the world and each one of us with respect and dignity. While caring for our collective future, together.
